Fluxus Concert
Date: November 02, 2011
Time: 6:30pm
Larry Miller
Free with museum admission but reservations are required.
To celebrate the opening of at/around/beyond: Fluxus at Rutgers, Larry Miller returns to Rutgers to conduct a special reprisal of Fluxus favorites in a Fluxus Concert in the museum. Fluxus, a mid-twentieth-century avant-garde movement with historic ties to Rutgers University, is the feature of an exhibition at the Zimmerli, the subject of a traveling exhibition, Fluxus & the Essential Questions of Life, on view at the Grey Art Gallery at New York University this fall, and the focus of a weekend of performance art (November 10-13) organized by Performa in New York City. Miller, a graduate of the MFA Program at Mason Gross, has been associated with Fluxus since his student days at Rutgers.
Support for this program has been provided from an endowment established by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
